Terms of Service

Please read these Terms carefully before using IdCardMaker. They explain your rights and responsibilities when using our Service.

Last updated: August 3, 2026

These Terms are a protective template for IdCardMaker and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney in your jurisdiction.

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you (“you,” “your,” or “User”) and IdCardMaker (“IdCardMaker,” “the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the website idcardmaker.app, related subdomains, applications, templates, editors, APIs, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date below reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and “you” includes that organization.

The Service is not directed to children. See our Privacy Policy for children’s privacy practices.

3. Description of the Service

IdCardMaker provides tools to browse ID card templates, edit designs in a browser-based editor, and export or download ID card assets for use on social media and other platforms. Design work may occur primarily on your device; catalog and asset delivery may be served from our servers.

We do not guarantee that any design, export, or publication will achieve particular reach, engagement, ranking, monetization, or compliance with third-party platform rules. Social networks (including Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Facebook, and others) are independent third parties and may change their formats, policies, or APIs at any time.

Features, templates, pricing, and availability may change. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service without liability, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

4. Accounts and future paid features

You may currently use parts of the Service without creating an account. If we introduce accounts, subscriptions, or payments, additional terms may apply (including payment processor terms). You agree to provide accurate information and to keep credentials confidential.

You are responsible for all activity under your account or device session. Notify us promptly at legal@idcardmaker.app of unauthorized use.

5. License to use the Service

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Service for your lawful personal or internal business purposes.

Except as expressly permitted, you may not: (a) copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse engineer the Service or its software; (b) remove proprietary notices; (c) use the Service to build a competing product by systematically copying templates, assets, or design systems; (d) bypass rate limits, security, or access controls; (e) use automated scraping, harvesting, or high-volume automated access without our prior written consent; or (f) interfere with the Service’s operation or other users’ access.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to create, upload, store, transmit, or promote content or activity that: (a) is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or defamatory; (b) infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights; (c) contains malware, spyware, or harmful code; (d) exploits, harms, or attempts to harm minors; (e) constitutes hate speech, harassment, or threats; (f) is sexually exploitative; (g) impersonates any person or entity; (h) facilitates spam or unauthorized advertising; or (i) violates any applicable law or regulation.

We may investigate violations and suspend or terminate access, remove content, or report activity to authorities, without prior notice where we reasonably believe it is necessary.

7. Your content and designs

“User Content” means text, images, logos, brands, fonts (to the extent you supply them), edits, and other materials you provide or generate while using the Service, including exported ID card files.

As between you and the Company, you retain ownership of your User Content, subject to any third-party rights in materials you incorporate (stock assets, trademarks, likenesses, etc.). You are solely responsible for User Content and for how you publish or distribute exports.

You grant IdCardMaker a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, display, and store User Content solely as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service (including backups and troubleshooting). We do not claim ownership of your finished creative work merely because you edited it in our editor.

You represent that you have all rights necessary to use and export your User Content and that it does not violate these Terms or third-party rights. You are responsible for obtaining permissions, model releases, and licenses for any third-party material you include.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service, including software, UI, templates, layouts, sample copy (except your User Content), branding, documentation, and compilation of the catalog, is owned by IdCardMaker or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited license to use templates within the Service to create and export your own ID cards. This does not transfer ownership of our template files, design system, or source assets to you as standalone products for redistribution as templates.

You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute our templates or template packages as competing template products, design kits, or stock assets.

“IdCardMaker,” “IdCardMaker,” and related marks are trademarks of the Company. You may not use them without prior written permission, except for factual references.

9. Third-party platforms and services

The Service may link to or interoperate with third-party websites, hosts, CDNs, or social platforms. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their terms. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their agreements.

IdCardMaker is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Google, Apple, or other platform owners unless we expressly state otherwise.

10. No professional advice

Content on the Service (including tips, SEO articles, template suggestions, and sample copy) is for general informational and creative purposes only. It is not legal, financial, marketing, medical, or other professional advice. You are responsible for your business, compliance, and publishing decisions.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT RESULTS (INCLUDING EXPORTS, PREVIEWS, OR SUGGESTED CONTENT) WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS OR COMPLY WITH THIRD-PARTY PLATFORM REQUIREMENTS.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers; in those cases, disclaimers apply to the fullest extent permitted.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CARDMAKER, ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100) IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US.

These limitations are a fundamental part of the bargain and apply regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise). Some jurisdictions restrict liability limitations; where so, our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless IdCardMaker and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your User Content; (b) your use of the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; or (d) your infringement or violation of any third-party right.

14. Intellectual property complaints

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright or other IP rights, send a notice to legal@idcardmaker.app with: (a) your contact information; (b) a description of the work claimed to be infringed; (c) the location of the allegedly infringing material on the Service; (d) a statement of good-faith belief that use is not authorized; (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act; and (f) your physical or electronic signature.

We may remove or disable access to materials and, where appropriate, terminate repeat infringers’ access, consistent with applicable law (including the DMCA where it applies).

15. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service.

Upon termination, the license to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles, to the maximum extent permitted. The exclusive venue for disputes shall be the courts of competent jurisdiction designated by the Company once a principal place of business is formally established, or as otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.

Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights under mandatory local law. Until a specific jurisdiction is designated in an updated version of these Terms, disputes will be resolved as permitted by applicable law.

YOU AND THE COMPANY AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING, TO THE EXTENT SUCH WAIVER IS ENFORCEABLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

17. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional product-specific terms we present, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on the same subject.

If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Headings are for convenience only. “Including” means “including without limitation.”
